In the aggregate production line, the screening system plays a crucial role, and its equipment selection directly affects the quality and production efficiency of the final product. Here are some commonly used screening equipment:
1、 Vibrating screen
Circular vibrating screen
Advantages: high strength, high screening efficiency, fatigue resistance, easy maintenance, and relatively low price. Multiple layers of screening surfaces can be arranged according to different process requirements.
Disadvantages: The lubrication system requires frequent maintenance, and the exciter may need to be replaced regularly.
Application: Circular vibrating screen is widely used in sand and gravel aggregate projects, suitable for screening materials of various particle sizes.
Linear vibrating screen
Advantages: Compact structure, easy maintenance, and stable vibration. The consistent motion trajectory of each point on the screening surface is beneficial for material screening.
Disadvantages: The structure is relatively complex and amplitude adjustment is not easy.
Application: Usually used in the medium and fine screening and dewatering stages of sand and gravel aggregate projects.
Banana sieve
Features: Adopting the principle of equal thickness screening, the screen surface is designed with continuous multi angle, which has the advantages of high stability, large processing capacity, and long service life.
Application: Suitable for screening and grading materials ranging from 8 to 300mm, it can be used for grading operations such as coarse screening, medium screening, and fine screening in the sand and gravel aggregate industry.
Self centering vibrating screen
Advantages: Simple structure, easy operation and adjustment, strong screen surface vibration, and materials are not easily blocked in the sieve holes.
Disadvantage: The amplitude of the sieve will vary significantly with fluctuations in the amount of ore fed, resulting in unstable screening efficiency. The large amplitude generated by the sieve during start stop operation may cause damage to the building.
Application: Suitable for screening scenarios that require strong vibration to overcome material blockage.
2、 Other screening equipment
In addition to vibrating screens, there are other types of screening equipment such as fixed screens, roller screens, cylindrical screens, and fine screens. However, in sand and gravel aggregate projects, the application of these devices is relatively limited as they may not be able to meet the requirements of efficient, continuous, and automated production.
3、 Equipment selection considerations
When choosing screening equipment, the following factors need to be considered:
Material characteristics: including particle size, hardness, humidity, etc. These factors will directly affect the selection of screening equipment and screening effect.
Production demand: Select appropriate screening equipment based on the production line’s capacity requirements to ensure production efficiency.
Maintenance cost: Consider the maintenance cost of the equipment, including repair costs, frequency of component replacement, etc.
Environmental requirements: Ensure that screening equipment complies with local environmental standards, reducing dust emissions and noise pollution.
In summary, there are various types of screening system equipment in aggregate production lines, and selecting the appropriate equipment is crucial for improving production efficiency and product quality. When choosing, factors such as material characteristics, production requirements, maintenance costs, and environmental requirements should be fully considered.
