Impact crusher and counterattack crusher are two commonly used crushing equipment in mines, and they have significant differences in multiple aspects. The following is a specific analysis:
working principle
Impact crusher: The stone material falls into the high-speed rotating turntable through the top entrance of the machine, is accelerated by the impeller, and thrown out from different directions, colliding with another part of the freely falling stone material. After hitting each other, the stones will form eddy currents between the turntable and the casing, causing multiple impacts, friction, and crushing, and will be directly discharged from the bottom of the machine. The entire process adopts the principle of “stone hitting stone” crushing, where the stone material does not directly contact the machine components during the crushing process, effectively reducing component wear and tear.
Counterattack crusher: Stone enters the crushing chamber from the feeding port, meets the high-speed rotating rotor, and is then hit by the high-speed rotating rotor towards the counterattack lining plate, and then bounced back to the rotor striking area by the counterattack lining plate. The above actions are repeated multiple times until it is crushed into stones and discharged from the bottom. The entire process adopts the principle of “impact type” crushing, where the stone is crushed by directly colliding with machine components, resulting in a more direct crushing effect and higher crushing efficiency.
Crushing efficiency and output
Impact crusher: The production range of impact crusher on the market is roughly 12-650t/h, with a power consumption of 37-500kw.
Counterattack crusher: The output is usually between 30-800t/h, and the power consumption is 37-710kw.
Feed and discharge particle size
Impact crusher: The processing feed generally does not exceed 30-55mm, and the output is coarse sand, medium sand, and fine sand. It is mostly used for sand making operations (both soft and hard stone materials can be processed), and can also shape sand.
Counterattack crusher: capable of processing various coarse, medium, and fine materials (such as granite, limestone, concrete, etc.) with a side length not exceeding 300-800mm and a compressive strength not exceeding 350MPa (some say not exceeding 360MPa). The discharge port can be adjusted as needed between 0-60mm. It is commonly used for crushing stones (soft stones have higher crushing efficiency), as a processing equipment for finished stones and sand, and can also shape stones (both soft and hard stones can be shaped).
Equipment features
Impact crusher: It has the characteristics of high crushing ratio, strong adaptability, simple structure, small external dimensions, easy operation, and easy maintenance.
Counterattack crusher: It is designed with three types: coarse impact hammer crusher, medium impact hammer crusher, and fine impact hammer crusher, which can be selected according to different user needs.
In summary, there are significant differences between impact crushers and counterattack crushers in terms of working principles, crushing efficiency and output, feed and discharge particle size, and equipment characteristics. In practical applications, users should choose suitable crushing equipment according to their specific needs.
